A little question about Joyeux. Was he inherited or gifted to Silvaineaux by his family? Or did Silvaineaux obtain him with his own coin? I am assuming that Ishgardian Knights don't do anything so common as buying their own mounts (it would smack of trade I fear). Perhaps the Holy See bestows mounts upon its Knights once they reach a certain age or level of experience?
I suppose I am wondering if Silvaineaux chose Joyeux, or if he was chosen for him? Or maybe Joyeux was the one who chose Silvaineaux?
Silvaineaux's family has bred their own chocobos for about five centuries, so he grew up around the birds and talk of pedigrees and bloodlines. He learned to ride them from the time he was very small. When it came time to think of his own bird he was well enough versed in their birds to decide on the cross he wanted for his bird himself. (Joyeux's sire was his elder brother Seraphin's warbird, Cauchemar. His dam was another fine one of the family birds named Merveilleuse.) He made his pick of the resulting eggs and when hatching time drew near he spent several days in the stable with the egg awaiting the hatching. He was the first thing Joyeux saw as a hatchling and he trained him entirely himself. So he very much chose Joyeux for himself. He would likely tell you it was one of the very best choices he ever made, for Joyeux has proven the most loyal and steadfast of friends, and a fierce comrade in battle.

Transformers Prime: Aliens
An alternative universe where things are close to canon, but the main differences come with the kids being aliens and different culture
Jack and Miko live on the planet Bellum
Jack
Jack is a southern Warbird, he mainly helps his clan "Jasper" by helping his mom tend to patients. He is well versed in basic medicine and wants to be a vet, he hates seeing discomfort of cattle animal especially.
He prefers to avoid the fun activity of brawling, but depending on his mood he will be fine with a good fight. Having few scars from battle because he prefers a more calm environment where he can read. He is brave and cautious, protective of those younger than him.
He finds himself drawn to Arcee's mysterious and stealy nature.
Miko
Miko is south eastern warbird, she has a strong hatred towards authority especially the falsecats. She was born into a very small nomadic clan, however when she was little for sake of her family they moved to the major city. She lived their most of her life until she joined a program which let her move to the Jasper clan.
She is rough and enjoys the harsh nature of clan life, she especially loves fighting for sport. Using it to release pent up rage and other emotions, so she wears quite a few scars.
She was drawn to Bulkhead because of his free spirit and wreckee style!
Rafael
Raf was born on the planet Vecna (NOT THE GAME LOL, my made up planet) as a treelin magni oculus. He was raised on the outerskirts of a large city until he was emancipated at 10 years. During his time of living by himself with roommates, their tribe was attacked by decepticons. Raf is curious and naïve in nature, shy but wanting to see the best in others.
He struggles with adultification from his culture and likes to think of himself older than what he is. He speaks a very tribe specific onoma trill, the only one who seems to understand him is Bumblebee.
He is drawn to Bee due to his kindess and the fact he is able to understand him with others can't

Vulcans Don't Glare
"Good job, crew," Jim announces with a sigh of relief as the Klingon warbird falls to pieces on the view screen.
After the Klingons attacked the Enterprise unprovoked in the middle of gamma shift, and then refused to negotiate, Jim had been forced to give the order to blast their ship to smithereens.
He is just relieved that it is the enemy ship floating uselessly in a thousand parts, and not his beautiful Enterprise.
"Mr. Sulu, take us to warp six - headed for the nearest starbase. I have a feeling Scotty is going to need some parts for repairs," Jim orders.
"Aye, captain," Sulu responds seriously.
"Captain," Uhura turns from her console to tell him something, and then stops dead, her mouth hanging open a bit in surprise.
"Lieutenant, it is rude to stare," Jim tells her with a smirk. "My eyes are up here."
She drags her eyes up from his bare chest to his face, glaring at him.
"It's nothing I haven't seen before," she mutters furiously, loud enough for the rest of the crew to hear.
Jim shakes his head with a little laugh, gathering the white sheet around his waist as he stands from his chair.
"K-kept'n!" Chekov gasps, blushing furiously. "You are not wearing clothes!"
Kirk blinks at his navigator.
"Yeah," he affirms. "I do that when I sleep. You're just lucky I remembered to grab the sheet when I left my quarters. Now, I'm going to rest before alpha shift. Spock - you're the boss."
***
The bridge crew watches surreptitiously as their captain heads for the turbolift, the sheet bunched around his waist and trailing on the ground after him.
"Eyes on your stations, please," Spock intones evenly.
He is not glaring at the crew.
Vulcans don't glare.
Not even when their colleagues ogle their nearly-naked t'hy'la.
(Jim is going to be punished for that later.)
This is part 1 of my Possessive Spock verse. Series is posted to AO3 here. The stories are generally unconnected, and mostly will be oneshots. I'll be posting additional stories to this verse over the next few weeks.

New Verse: The Falconeer
Planet: Ursee | Takes place before the game’s plot Born in Madoin, Avyra's town and family have always had close ties to the Mancer Order despite being a civilian freehouse. Both her parents were miners in the Maw, a huge, gaping scar cutting through Ursee’s ocean, and when she was five, her father died in a mining accident. Instead of offering a proper burial, the Mancer Order did not permit retrieving the bodies of him and the other miners that perished in the accident in an attempt to keep the mysteries of the Maw’s origins under wraps.
Avyra grew bitter at the Order for their righteous attitude, and to the Imperium for continuing to encroach on the people of Madoin. At the age of 18, she left the civilian freehouses, and sought justice in the form of knowledge at Oberon's Reach, the stronghold of the Mancer Order.
She studied at Stargazer, a Mancer institution, for a few years, uncovering small truths that the Mancer kept secret, and eventually became a Seeker, the highest rank one of her upbringing could achieve (which, admittedly, is not a high one). Although her initial intentions were to expose the Mancer Order, her discoveries led her to keep quiet. While she could not accomplish her initial goal, one of revenge, she did receive closure, growing to respect the decision made over two decades ago to let her father rest in the Maw.
She currently resides at Port Remit, the Southernmost civilian port before the vast Mongres Expanse. As a Seeker, she patrols the expanse, looking for relics of times long past to deliver back to the Mancer at Oberon's Reach.
In this verse, Nimbus is a silver and blue colored warbird. Crossed with a northern sark spotter for heartiness and color and a golden fenix for agility and form, Nimbus takes on the characteristics of both breeds. She even received the fenix’s tendril tail, with blue spots on the end.
#༄ | from the clouds they dive; the screams of battle in their lungs [the falconeer]#this is on my carrd now. lol will draw nimbus later#totally spent too long in the game this morning figuring out which screenshots to take

@lykaiia asked: Plots please! Throw 'em at me!
hjkfdh thank you sm for sending this! I realise the meme said “respond with interesting plots” hdsjfkh I hope some of these are??? at least one??? lol
I enjoyed your headcanon about the wildlife? made me think that maybe Ly could assist/advise Hel in acquiring some animal species to repopulate the fauna of GxXun? kinda thought they could go about camping and have some fun navigating various natures. also that could lead to them encountering and dealing with different alien species we can create/take from trek ( salt vampires... my beloved!! ) I feel like the sci-fi things don’t have to absolutely be about a trek verse for us, could be semi-separate? trek-inspired? if that makes sense
I actually wanted to offer some main verse things. there's this long forgotten deal that the town/soon-to-be city where Hel lives ( more like used to live ) is sorta where the supernatural community resides. a lil oasis that started as a villain town but soon opened up the doors to everyone from retired disillusioned heroes to anybody who wants to just chill ( also the raccoons down there are up to something evil. ) maybe if Ly visited she could like in it Dale ( no sea air there!! ) the problem with teh main verse being that Hel is a heavy smoker and I'm sorta ??? bc I don't want her to stink off Ly's senses just by existing next to her. but she did hint at quitting smoking on multiple occasions recently so... I could also work that into everything!
I remember you liked the Schrödinger gun plot-wish once? we could go for that!
I love your mirror!verse ideas for Ly? heh, all my trek stuff is mostly in my head but I’d be interested in experimenting because I thought that Hel would likely be secretly undermining the Empire/doing resistance stuff and Ly could use it to spread Kovan interests and influence, they could scheme-up together? the main problem? mirror!verse Hel is creepy af...
love your cosmic horror ideas! and it’s more for the main verse Hel, I think? and this is on the silly side but I imagined cosmic entity Ly encountering a telepath Hel and achieving a sorta symbiotic partnership with her? Hel hosting Ly but also throwing her into random people’s bodies for a ride? kinda settling her in anywhere she wants so there are no incompatibility issues? “I will weaken this mind for you, it’s free real estate” xD
I remember you wrote something about Ly stealing a Romulan warbird? yes! a Klingon bird-of-prey? also why not! I’m up for the mayhem!!! I’m kinda sorta musing over the idea of Hel still working for the Federation even tho she appears to be an indie contractor? could be... a part of that thought...
Hel joining Ly’s crew for whatever reason? that’s an interesting idea! Captain Ly and her lil new intp crewmate, what can go wrong?
I’m dying a lil about the whole time-travel stuff? I wish I could write older!Hel and maybe I should try because I bet there could be a whole arc built around that. Ly and Hel meeting at different stages of their lives due to time travel + Ly’s long life span? older!Ly meeting older!Hel and going “bish you still alive??? wuuuut?”
ok this is more... fluff? I’ve noticed that Hel and Ly have some similar food tastes and there was a plot-wish I had about a food-tasting festival. alien or supernatural? either them having fun or something happens as they are trying to relax? I’m up for any version of it!!!
#all things squishy#this was getting long so I hid the rest)))#the problem w me is that I'm either brain-dead or have too many ideas to choose from)

How’s Tony relationship with Wanda in comics? I wonder if there’s friction between the comic fans as well
Despite being on-off Avengers for a long, long while, they didn’t actually have much of a meaningful relationship until something called Force Works in ‘94. Even when they were teammates, most of their interactions were little bits of dialogue to acknowledge that they knew each other and would talk to each other if they happened to appear on the same page, but... not much else.
I am not as well versed in Wanda as I am Tony, so keep that in mind.
Before going in-depth about the things they experienced together, there are some differences in ideology that don’t give them the best set-up in the world. They have different circumstances of birth, different “powersets”, and overall different approaches to things. Tony tends to be the oddball in most teams when it comes to his foresight and utilitarian mindset, but this is especially the case compared to Wanda, who sometimes doesn’t have the privilege of utilitarianism because of how her powers work; she’s capable of a lot, and on a daily basis, she exercises quite a bit of restraint.
Tony’s biggest mistakes were directly caused by him making decisions that were, at times, devoid of feeling (not that he didn’t feel anything making those decisions, he just discarded his feelings entirely). It’s a common theme with him to assume that he needs to disconnect himself emotionally from the “right decision”, because the right decision is often something he can’t handle. And when he can’t handle something he thinks needs to be done, what does he do? He does it anyway, and he lets it destroy him. That isn’t to say that his decisions are never based in feeling-- he is an incredibly emotional person, after all-- but his predominant feeling is guilt, and it serves more as a motivator than something that directly impacts which conclusions he comes to in the first place. We can clearly see where his head’s at when it comes to certain conflicts based on Civil War and Civil War II, where CW was rife with him making decisions that broke him in order to avoid the worst possible scenario, and CWII showed a side of him that wanted to believe his choice was the right one, wanted to believe the conclusions he’d drawn were correct, but was willing to give that up if trusted friends told him it wasn’t worth it. At no point does he say “maybe my plans/views/conclusions are garbage!” because he’s always had a complex relationship with his own ability to find best possible outcomes. He doubts himself constantly, but still acknowledges evidence and probability where he can find it. What changes is how willing he is to go through with these plans. Suddenly, when CW backfires harshly, he’s more likely to ask the questions of, “is this worth it?” and “do people want this?”
And then there’s Wanda, who isn’t... like that. Her biggest mistake wasn’t actually that well thought-out, and it’s built more on a feel-good sentiment than anything; if there’s this awful, awful cloud of oppression hanging over the heads of mutants and conflict between mutants and humans, then the best thing to do to make sure no one has to deal with that would be to... forcefully break those barriers down, right? It’s worth mentioning here that she’s been through a lot at the time of this decision, and when you compare her “I’m going through a lot” decisions with Tony’s “I’m going through a lot” decisions, you can kind of see a huge, huge difference between them.
Tony ignores his feelings, ignores the pain and suffering he knows he’ll have to see, and goes for numbers games. It’s a coping mechanism he’s had since he was a child, and it lives on in his superhero-ing to some extent; when he is at his worst (barring when he’s not sober, because that’s a different, more self-destructive beast entirely), he tries (or tried? he still kind of does this, but again, to a lesser extent) to disconnect from himself and from others when problem-solving.
Wanda, on the other hand... does not and cannot really disconnect herself from that. The suffering of the people is on her mind constantly, and it’s the main thing she chooses to remedy as soon as it crosses her mind to. It’s a deeper look into the mind of a woman whose life has been damaged many times over by prejudice and discrimination. Her pleading with reality to give everyone a happy ending (which, ironically, I don’t think Tony actually got in the new reality? but I don’t think that’s meant to comment on their relationship at all. I may be wrong on that one) is understandable if you’re also from a marginalized group, or if you can empathize with them. Even if everyone’s in agreement that she really should not have done that, it’s not hard to understand why. She didn’t just live in the suffering, she took it on entirely, forcing herself to bear the burden of a world that wasn’t real in hopes that it would be preferable to the world that was.
Tony can be aware of marginalization (and, as someone who was physically disabled and is probably still mentally disabled, can empathize to some degree), but he can’t ever really feel what Wanda feels as someone who really can’t go two seconds without identity-based conflict totally obliterating her. On the flipside, Wanda herself can never feel what Tony feels-- a disconnect from identity for the sake of discussing “best case scenarios” where everyone’s still in pain, the ability to separate oneself from these conflicts and allow for vague concepts like “short term suffering/hardships” to refer to years, decades, generations, worth of struggling for the sake of a better future when there are struggling people now. That’s not to say Tony’s never sensitive to current issues (he tries very, very hard to help people who are struggling now, and pours a lot of money into it) and it’s also not to say that Wanda’s somehow incapable of rational decision making as a result of her constant oppression; neither of these things are true. But their gut responses to certain problems are different. On top of that, they can both afford different levels of consequences, and they’ll be viewed differently by people by exercising roughly the same amount of influence. They just aren’t the same, and where characters like Steve and Tony find common ground anyway, it’s harder for characters like Wanda to find common ground with Tony.
Now for what we’ve all been... waiting for...
Force Works!
This really isn’t my favorite run of all time. The writing’s kind of weird, the art is garish at best and totally problematic at worst, and though there are elements of characterization that are kind of true to the core of the characters involved, it’s still, uh... I don’t know, executed in a way that’s disconcerting? It’s kind of like if Civil War II did what Civil War II did, but then also made Carol wear a Warbird-style bikini, and also added cool plot elements like Tony saying, “Carol, you’re right!” right at the start and then... continuing to believe Carol is wrong, because that’s the plot. Oh, and then Tony kills some people and is later retconned to have not killed people, because that sucked of him and was super weird for his character.
There’s just a lot of weird stuff in Force Works. If you like it, it’s fine to like it (honestly, we’ve all flipped through pages of difficult-to-decipher art and less than flattering outfits for women for the sake of reading the stories we want to read), but. You know. Not my cup of tea.
Anyway, everything that I mentioned kind of comes into play with Force Works.
Here’s the gist. The Avengers are having some conflict (when aren’t they?) and Tony runs off to make a team that works to prevent villainy, not a team that just fights it (despite prevention being part of the “fighting bad guys” in many runs up to this point, as far as I’m aware, but, sure, it works within the context).
And who does he want to lead that team?
Wanda Maximoff!
He’s like, “Wanda, for realsies, I need your help.”
And Wanda’s like, “Shut up. Yes, I will do this,” but sexily, for some some reason.
And they have an issue of relative peace, until Tony starts to realize that he doesn’t actually like... not leading this time. And, sure, he said, “a partnership of skills leading the team together”, but he also said, “I want Wanda to lead the team!”
So, Wanda’s leading the team.
So, Tony’s not having a good time, because Wanda’s doing what he asked her to do. He probably should have seen that coming.
At some point, the Force Works band together to deal with some stuff in Slorenia, which is Marvel’s fun way of saying they’re going to have some commentary on the Bosnian war but they weren’t going to call it Bosnia, like they have commentary on the government without naming the president. Everyone knows what it’s meant to be, but they’re just not calling it that.
Already, you can see the differences in how Tony and Wanda's first interactions with the news go. Wanda has a much more personal connection to the place, and Tony’s thinking of it as a location for a mission, sharing what intel he has available. Tony’s not exactly being callous here-- it’s not inappropriate for him to say, “Oh, here’s what I know from owning the company I own”-- but he is starting off with less investment than Wanda.
This continues into the start of their mission, where Wanda’s taking charge and using her connection to Slorenia (the language, the knowledge of the politics, etc.) to make the mission run more smoothly. In the beginning, Tony actually falls in line, letting her take the lead without grumbling this time.
(This isn’t important to anything, but I’d like to mention here that “hex energy” is kind of like the 90s Wanda equivalent of “transistor-powered!” objects for 60s Tony, which is... very funny.)
So, they deal with one antagonist in Slorenia, some things are resolved, and... Wanda would like to stick around to maybe keep helping people here.
And Tony says:
Tony’s argument is that the issue they’d gone to deal with had been dealt with, according to their funky computer that tells them when things are dealt with.
And Wanda’s like, “Well, I think what we just dealt with was part of a bigger thing! That we should deal with more!”
And Tony’s like, “Nope!” despite Wanda being the official team leader. So, they’re not having a great time there.
There’s a little more, but it’s all pretty much to do with the same kind of stuff (and then also the part where Tony kills people, but again, that technically didn’t... happen, anymore, so. Yay?)
And this kind of just... fizzled out eventually, and canon put things back together as canon often does, and now they don’t have much of a problem with each other again. They’ve had some positive interactions and on multiple occasions, they’ve been cool teammates who respect each other, so.
I don’t know.
What I can say is that, aside from House of M and Civil War (wherein people who aren’t familiar with Wanda and Tony use these two events to heavily criticize Wanda and Tony despite really having no stake in the argument, which is kind of a comics dudebro move that’s never been awesome for anyone the way it’s usually handled), Wanda and Tony fans don’t tend to... think much of each other, I guess? There’s really not enough basis in canon for either group of people to have longstanding personal gripes.
616 operates like that a lot; where the MCU has very clear relationships between characters, plotlines, and messages, 616 has... inconsistency and sometimes-poor writing and political commentary with characters literally changed at their core sometimes to fill a certain role (hence why some ships can seem to have totally different dynamics based on the fan you’re talking to, why primarily X-Men fans often don’t like the Avengers, and why some debates about characters will never be settled using only the evidence we have now).
Here’s something I’d like to say before closing out:
I think, due to the fact that this was a very specific kind of political commentary intermixed with some strange characterization choices, I don’t really think this needs to be the end-all, be-all of Tony and Wanda’s potential friendship. Sure, they have these differences, but Steve and Tony have very similar differences that they’ve overcome through mutual understanding. I’m not saying that Tony and Wanda would be friends, nor am I saying that they should be. All I really want to say is that they certainly could be with the right plot beats and characterization, and that’s a nice thought.
So, if there’s any desire at all out there to write a very positive Tony and Wanda relationship, I’d say go for it, 100%. There is some canon basis for it, despite most of it being in between the lines or... contained within one or two scenes. We could all use more friendships to gush over. :)
#cassks#the day has come... to acknowledge force works...#i am once again answering asks to cope with the trapped sort of boredom that very ill days push on people#so if any of this is totally incomprehensible. my bad

Cloud Top Reaches
@tamedseeker | (( Cont from here ))
The mech in question was large and indomitable looking, sporting a frame very similar in nature to the ever fearsome Megatron. He turned, his eerie purple optics surprisingly friendly despite his menacing visage. The Warbird smiled broadly, his serrated dentals glinting from the bright cybertronian sun. “Of course. There is a library several blocks up this path. Just keep walking straight That way.” He points north wards. “Take a left at Emulsion Terraces, and go right at the overpass, keep walking straight until you come to a set of five buildings next to a sizable square mercury pool. The Bibliotheca is what you seek, that’s the central library in CloudTop. And Vehicon, take care where you roam, not all places in Vos are friendly to grounders. Stick to the lighted walkways and tourist areas. Do not enter the temples unless you you wish to be devoured.”
Rea couldn’t help a flinch back upon seeing purple optics in a frame similar to that which Megatronus had once had. Memories of another universe jump threatened to bubble up, but she pushed them back
She nods as she commits the directions to memory. Luckily, it seems this cybertron has a similar or same script as her verse, so she was able to read the signs around them. On his last comments, she opened her mouth to make a remark - probably would have been I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t already - when his last remark caught her attention. “Please tell me that’s a figure of speech.”

Daeyona’s Birds
Main ‘verses:
Claudius: chocobo. Red in coloration. Former Ishgardian warbird training reject, due to inherent stubbornness towards “traditional” training methods and also due to his prodigious size, which made him difficult for all but Roegadyn to properly ride or control. Was eventually shuffled to Gridanian stables, where he was picked up by Daeyona at Daeyona’s insistence, when she was granted an allotment alongside her friend Ambarone for a chocobo; she was quite taken with Claudius on sight, and was even more so when his keepers at the stable attempted to warn her off due to his “pigheaded personality”. Daeyona managed to train him into (mostly) behaving for her, while keeping intact his fearlessness towards even those enemies much larger and stronger than he is.
That said, he does still have a stubborn streak from time to time, and he is also somewhat aware of how large he is and how very few, other than Daeyona or some of the larger Swarstral members, can even hope to physically move him when he acts up. He is also unfortunately fond of “people food” and is quite happy to merely stick his head over one’s shoulder to steal a bite of whatever they’re eating.
He is sometimes stabled at Ambarone’s house, but by and large, he roams around the Swarstral camp, usually foraging on his own for food, or sometimes pestering any local chocobo owners or trainers for meals when he thinks he can get away with it.
Named “Claudius” by Daeyona, after a semi-friendly trader that she knew in Limsa back in her mercenary days.
Feather: Abalathian magpie—slightly larger and longer lived than the Doman magpie, and with a white skull-like “mask” pattern on their backs. Found by a teenage Daeyona as a fledgling with an injury, and she saved him and lent him a place to recover. He ultimately found her again as an adult in the present day and has since stuck with her. Quite active, even at the higher age range he’s at now; also quite fond of mimicking voices and sounds, and adds to his repertoire daily, preferring laughs and laughter over most anything else. Also fond of repeating such sounds, much to the dismay of anyone who wakes him in the middle of the night and gets him “talking”.
Easily recognizable and distinguishable from other magpies by a horizontal scratch or indent about halfway down his beak, as well as a visibly missing feather tip on his left wing. Can generally be found perched on Daeyona in some manner, or sometimes observing from any nearby perches. Generally keeps a great distance from battle, but can be found afterwards picking at bodies—Daeyona has trained him to not eat them, of course, even if he still is what the Swarstral call a “carrion bird”, but he does pick up bits and trinkets to hoard.
———
Maelstrom AU specific:
She does still have Claudius in this ‘verse! She also has four Abalathian magpies, all trained in tracking magitek and armored units of all sorts:
Waekdornn (Battlethorn): Female. Largest bird. Exceptionally fearless in personality; domineers over the other three magpies. Enjoys repeating swears she’s heard at the worst possible moments and particularly enjoys calling everyone “bastard”, preferably multiple times in a row. Preferred secondary use is for distraction of personnel via dive-bombing, in a particularly literal sense—has been trained in dropping small incendiary weapons on targets.
Identifying marks include scorch marks on her talons from this use, and ragged-edged tail and wing feathers.
Blaetdornn (Bloodthorn): Female. Smallest but speediest of all four birds. Rarely mimics just voices, but does mimic songs and the calls of other birds quite often. Least actively bold of all four birds, but is exceptionally single-minded when forging her way towards a destination. Therefore, preferred secondary use is in message-carrying.
Identifying marks include a red beak-tip, which was the source of her name, and a single stunted right talon (specifically, the rightmost forward-facing one).
Baendornn (Bonethorn): Male. Second-largest bird. Most likely of the four by a long shot to steal shiny bits and trinkets to hoard in his nest. Very un-vocal, due to a congenital defect that makes his voice extremely hoarse and difficult to use. Extraordinarily intelligent with regards to damaging magitek, and therefore is commonly set loose for that secondary use. This does, however, make him easily distractible when tracking, which also makes him the least often used for this purpose.
Identifying marks include a paler beak than his compatriots, and a smaller “skull” pattern that does not fully cover his back.
Iyrndornn (Ironthorn): Male. Extraordinarily vocal, and tends to echo what he’s heard from the other birds in particular. Exceedingly fond of food-stealing, whether from his compatriots or from people, even Daeyona herself. Second-smallest, but still can get almost as aggressive as Waekdornn, which is no small feat. His particularly strident voice, in combination with this, makes him an excellent “early alerter” when stationed near camp, and he is mostly used for this purpose when not for tracking.
Identifying marks include one light grey eye (instead of the other’s black), and a noticeably skewed “skull” pattern on his back, relative to a typical magpie’s.

BIOGRAPHY.
Al'iell was born during the Cardassian Occupation on the eleventh planet of the Bajoran System, Bajor XI during the year 2354. Her parents, like most Bajorans on the planet, were members of the Bajoran Underground. For the first five years of her life, she lived on her grandparent’s kava farm in the Kendra Province, beside the Yolja river. It was at this time that the Cardassians raided the farm, killed her grandparents, and took her and the other farm hands captive.
Al'iell was only held in the work camp for a few months before the Resistance liberated the small camp, led by her parents. She spent the remaining years of her childhood running small errands for the Resistance, travelling all around the Kendra Province with her parent’s resistance cell. When she was 12, her father left the resistance cell to travel to Terok Nor, to work with the resistance there to free the station from Gul Dukat. Al'iell continued to travel with her mother, now growing old enough to run messages between resistance cells, and travel on her own.
In 2368, Al'iell had journeyed all the way into the Lonar Province to relay a message when the Kendra Valley Massacre occured. She came back to find her mother’s resistance cell all slaughtered, betrayed by a collaborator. Her fury had no match in fervor but her grief. She wandered the Kendra Province, moving from town to town, until the Cardassians withdrew from Bajor in 2369. Her father was able to collect her from the surface and bring her safely to Terok Nor, renamed Deep Space Nine by the Federation.
Al'iell, her conscience at war with grief for her mother and joy for her liberated planet, helped the Federation and Bajoran alliance repair the station, mostly with cleaning the station the Cardassian had torn nearly to pieces in anger at their withdrawal. Her father was given a job as a Bajoran security officer, under the charge of Security Chief Odo, the shapeshifter appointed during Gul Dukat’s reign.
For one year, Al'iell was relatively at peace. She lived aboard DS9, studied in Keiko O'Brien’s school, and came to reexamine her relationship with the Prophets. With the discovery of the wormhole, known to her people as the Celestial Temple, came some peace to her damaged soul, some verification of the faith she had struggled to keep in the Occupation. Her Prophets were out there, watching over her there on the station, just as they were on Bajor.
Despite the odd happenings on the station, the looming threat of the Cardassians, and the often inept decisions of the Provisional Government, Al'iell had food, shelter, and even friends. It didn’t take long to make friends with Jake Sisko, though Nog was less easily accpeted. It wasn’t until after he stopped his advances that she became friends with him as well, and began cultivating a cunning understanding of Ferengi business tactics. When Jake got a job under Chief O'Brien, Al'iell was quick to follow the idea. She had enough of war in her young life, and she wanted to fix instead of destroy. She began her engineering apprenticeship at age 16, just as the cold war between the Alpha Quadrant and the Dominion began.
Things became tense on Deep Space Nine, something Al'iell could hardly fail to notice. Even as her talent for engingeering became more apparent, it was clear her ability to fight needed to be cultivated again. She borrowed money from her father to practice fighting in the holodecks, despite her desire to move past her bloody past. For three years, she practiced, waited, and learned. And when the Dominion struck in 2373, she was ready.
The Second Battle of Deep Space Nine began, and though the station rocked and creaked around her, and her father begged her to return to Bajor, Al'iell refused to leave. Though she would always love Bajor, it held too much pain for her, and DS9 was her home now. Benjamin Sisko and the Federation were forced from the station, and, despite the sabotage that made DS9 nearly uninhabitable, she and the Bajorans held their ground. Al'iell joined with Jake in Kira Nerys’ resistance cell, doing everything she could to free her home, both Bajor and DS9, from Dominion/Cardassian rule.
Mid-2374, the Federation aimed to reclaim DS9, and Al'iell fought to free her home, once again painting her hands in Cardassian blood, and adding stains from the Dominion forces. The Dominion abandoned the station, but not without leaving their mark on Al'iell’s soul. It was tainted once again with war, and the taste wouldn’t leave her mouth. Though her home was free, the Dominion were oppressing other worlds, doing to other civilizations what she had fought to free Bajor from. Despite her father’s objections, she joined the Bajoran militia.
In the war’s lull, she travelled the nearby sectors, putting her talents to use by fixing damanged ships, in case the Dominion launched another attack. And launch they did. The capture of Betazed was an outrage, and the Bajoran militia, alligned with Starfleet, sent troops to try and reclaim the planet. Despite numerous failed attempts to retake the surface, they reclaimed some refugees, one of which was a Bajoran girl that Al'iell fell in love with. However, the girl was already engaged to be married, and her affections were not returned.
When the Romulans entered the war, Al'iell was one of the first to volunteer to coordinate with their forces in the attack on the Cardassian border, trying to outrun her feelings. She continued to flit from force to force with other members of the Bajoran militia, as Bajor’s good relations with most Alpha Quadrant powers had them being the most versatile fighters. It wasn’t until the Second Battle of Chin'toka that she truly began to worry. If the Federation, always seeming so mighty, could suffer the loss of 311 ships, what chance did Bajor stand?
She withdrew from the military, returning to DS9 to take up the guard of the station, Bajor, and the Celestial Temple. She remained her until the invasion of Cardassia began. She joined a Bajoran ship, and journeyed, for the first time, into the space of her once-oppressors. Given their history, the Bajorans were reluctant to help in the Cardassian Revolution, even with the possibility of the destruction of the Dominion. It wasn’t until the last hours of the battle that Al'iell set foot on Cardassia Prime, and saw it in utter ruins.
Though she had dreamed of the Cardassians burning for so much of her life, seeing broken bodies in the street and smelling the burning buildings gave her no joy. She stayed for only a day in Cardassia before fleeing back to the station on a Federation ship. She hoped to find sanctuary from the haunting memories, but instead found that the Pah-Wraiths were nearly released, only to be stopped by the Emissary. With Sisko’s disappearance, and Nog’s enlistment in Starfleet, she remained aboard DS9 to help Jake deal with the loss of his father, and it wasn’t until he left to purse his writing career that she realized the hole in her own soul.
Al'iell remains on Deep Space Nine, working as one of the main engineers in charge of keeping contact with the lost USS Voyager. Occasionally, she hires out her services as an engineer, leaving the station to fix problems on distant ships and planets. However, with the end of the Dominion War, she hopes to find peace in her soul once again, despite the road to recovery being long.
STAR WARS VERSE.
Al'iell was thrown upon entering the Celestial Temple. It should have been a simple test flight, checking that the runabout’s new shields could withstand the tumultuous conditions of the wormhole. Without any knowledge of what was happening, the runabout was thrown through the wormhole and fell… somewhere else. Upon (crash) landing, she was saved by a girl barely older than herself, and was told she was on the planet Wukkar, somewhere she had never heard of. It wasn’t long until she realized that somehow she had been thrown into another universe, far from the life she had once known. She only prays now that the prophets can still hear her.
MODERN VERSE.
The year was 2375. In a memorial to their years of friendship before going their seperate ways, Al'iell, Jake Sisko, and Nog took a trip to Earth to visit Jake’s grandfather and Nog’s friends from Starfleet Academy. Upon arrival, she beamed Jake and Nog to the planet while waiting to put in the ship for hull repair from a brief storm they had passed through. It was then that a Romulan warbird decloaked nearby, and the chroniton particles fused with the damaged hull, jolting Al'iell into the 21st century. Though tempted to live out her life in isolation to prevent a disruption of the timeline, Al'iell was too curious about humanity to pass up the opportunity. She travelled to the planet’s surface and began to integrate into their culture, bit by bit, though taking great care to hide the Bajoran ridges on her nose.

how would you describe your muse's core aesthetic? Clothing Style with function, like space streetwear with utility. He’s flexible for style but he likes pockets. For other aesthetic he likes a kinda retrowave, dark and neon colors. James Gunn said his favorite color was pink, if that was a joke, I don’t know but I am running with it. if your muse had a theme song, what would it be? He’d say he had a lot, and he does have some cannon themes too. Here are two I’d assign him... Dancing in the Moonlight - King Harvest Couldn’t Get it Right - Climax Blues Band what inspires you when writing your muse? Everything, I just love giving this character content. I usually try to cut down my replies because I can write a lot and just want to keep going. what are some of your favorite ships with your muse? Rocket likes the Bowie and the Warbird of the ones he’s flown. (( I know I am dodging this question but it’s COMPLICATED and really depends on the verse and RPer)) what qualities do you and your muse have in common? We’re both techy (I work in IT), blunt, talk too much, self conscious, physically/mentally scarred, have a lack of family and are more introverted

Some facts about Guardian!Master Chief, since I decided it was high time I developed this ’verse for him-!
He is an Awoken Titan, standing at 7′6″; he is most definitely built solidly; his eyes are deep blue, and his skin is also pale blue; still got that “ruggedly handsome yet gentle” countenance
His Ghost is named Cactus. Don’t ask him where he got that name from. She has a pale blue shell with darker blue accents ( *wink wink* ), and she is his best friend
He is still Artemis’ older brother, and they actually do know one another in this ’verse. They cross paths every so often; she’s part of a team, and he’s just a lone wolf, but every now and then they’ll fight side-by-side
He might be a Titan, but he still has a cloak. That big brown piece of fabric in that image up there? Yup, that’s John’s cloak. Mind you he doesn’t wear it while fighting; he just wears it while roaming
His jumpship is the AFv3 Octavian; when it is destroyed at some point just before the Red War, he then obtains himself Talon Blue
His Sparrow is the Warbird
He prefers heavy weapons, such as machine guns and rocket launchers, although that’s not to say he is not against using an assault rifle, either
His subclass is Defender; he is excellent at using Ward of Dawn
He still likes to jump off / out of stuff. He will jump off the Tower for kicks

the squad falling into a mirror universe, though, in which voltron is evil and the galra lead the resistance. (goodguy!prince lotor and shiro crackship? crackship.)
Well, first question: Are their mirror verse members of the team, or is it a different group? If the Alteans never split the lions it wouldn’t have gone to Earth, so Imma just assume it’s not them as pilots. Also because avoiding entropic cascade failure. Because I’m a dork.
One assumes the lions are the same: they don’t particularly have morality of their own, just a bond with a paladin. Giant metal lion robots don’t care who does what, they care about who pilots them, and as long as they have the right traits that’s what matters.
But maybe they come in their universe’s version of the Black Lion, because Reasons they were all in it and Shiro used the astral projection/universe slightly to the left headcanon handwavey jumbo, so these five weirds randomly show up IN THE FUCKING BLACK LION and now there’s two? Why are there two? The current Black Paladin is Not a Fan. What are you doing??? Give up your lion to us now so we can destroy this false copy you’ve made. You assholes. Our lions, not yours, copyright infringement.
So our Pals are all sharing a look inside the lion like whaaaat the fuck, and they’re halfway to trying to land to explain when Hunk realizes that these Alteans aren’t just firing on an enemy: they’re firing on the planet and it’s cities. Full of civilians.
That’s when they all get nervous. Pidge mutters something about growing beards.
And that’s when they’re contacted by Prince Lotor of the Galra Rebellion. Please please do not give up your lion and maybe chase them off? You don’t have to do anything else but please they’re killing innocents.
They turn off the comms for a few minutes to argue: is this some kind of trick? Can we trust the Galra, even in a different universe?
But in the end, the answer is obvious: they can’t let civilians be slaughtered.
So they fight.
It’s not a long tussle. It’s only a warbird and the other Black Lion, and they’re clearly not willing to engage an opponent they can’t destroy without issue, and Shiro’s bond with Black is strong. So the Altean ship flees, and they’re left not sure what to do.
That’s when Lotor invites them to land and come talk. And, because they have no idea what else to do, they accept.
Which is where they meet Zarkon and Haggar. Zarkon here is old, no longer a leader of his people, content to act as an advisor to his son, and Haggar is basically his chief science officer. She finds Shiro’s arm fascinating, and the idea of alternate universes amazing.
Shiro damn near climbs up a wall to get away from her.
They’re filled in and it’s... well, it’s hard to handle. No, it’s not Allura leading - Allura’s been dead for thousands years, after all - but it is her descendant leading the charge. And more importantly, it’s so hard to trust these hated figures. Even when Zarkon is fondly reminiscing over the days he used to have such a bond with his lion, Shiro’s skin crawls, and they all tend to bunch in together protectively around him, or he’ll instinctively shove them behind him.
Which is why Shiro ends up working a lot with Lotor. He isn’t someone Shiro knows, isn’t someone who makes his skin crawl. Instead he’s clever and detail oriented, seeing the forest as made up of the trees. He knows everything going on his his empire, and Shiro admires that, while Lotor admires Shiro’s charisma: no one would automatically defer to Lotor if his father hadn’t smoothed away. It’s not a trait he inherited.
They can’t fight Voltron with one lion, but maybe they don’t have to. Maybe they can confuse the bonds, stall out the lions, keep Voltron from being a problem.
It makes Shiro’s skin crawl to do to someone what was done to him, but if it means saving lives, he will.
And in return, they have more time to figure out how to go home. Enough time here to help and give the Galra a hand, and then go back where things make sense.
When they do go back, it’s not on purpose, but in a battle between the Black Lions.
When Shiro sees their Prince Lotor for the first time, his heart skips.
It doesn’t last long.
#Voltron#This got long#IDK what to do with it honestly ahaha I was rambling. This has zero focus sry#Anonymous
